Vacation at the fruit farm
The Mittermoarhof is quite a new farm. The farm was built after the detachment of a part of the Untermoarhof, one of the biggest and ancient farms of Albeins/Albes near Brixen. The farm was constructed on the place of the former forge in the heart of the village Albeins/Albes.
The name Mittermoarhof comes from the location between the former Obermoarhof and the Untermoarhof.
The Mittermoarhof is a “geschlossener Hof”*. Approx. 200 tons of apples as Golden Delicious, Gala, Braeburn, Fuji, and new: the club apple varieties Kanzi and Envy, are cultivated on an area of four hectare. We also offer a great selection of drupes; mainly cherries, peaches, apricots and prunes, as well as berries (strawberries, raspberries, currants). Most of the berries are processed to juices, jams and syrups.
Besides the orchard, also meadows and pastures, as well as 20 hectares of forest, are part of the farm.
The family offers farm holidays since the seventies.
By now, there are five apartments at the farm, which are let throughout the whole year. The Mittermoarhof is bearing the quality mark „Red Rooster“, which stands for a particular high quality of farm holidays.
