Vacationing is fun here – allowing myself to enjoy quiet and relaxation
Brixen/Bressanone and the mid-Eisacktal/Valle Isarco, the “Valley of Trails”, are worth a travel – during all seasons.
Summer attracts with numerous offers that leave nothing to be desired. Uncountable easy strolling and hiking paths as also demanding mountain hikes and climbing tours are waiting for the visitors. Also the bikers will be more than satisfied. A lake, the adventure pool “Acquarena“, and several other pools offer bathing-fun.
Those who prefer arts and culture: the city Brixen/Bressanone disposes of a broad offer of museums, churches, cloisters, exhibitions, concerts and much more.
It’s a must to experience the wintery ambience in Brixen/Bressanone. The Christmas market at the cathedral square counts to the most beautiful Christmas markets in the Alpine area. Holiday lights on the houses and in the alleys in the old city express an indescribable romance. Active guests are heading to the ski area Plose and to its “Trametsch”, South Tyrolean’s longest slope as well as to „Rudi Run“, the longest toboggan run of the region. All those, who like things a bit quieter, will enjoy the snowy winter hiking paths and the ski tour routes.
Spring is an experience in Brixen/Bressanone. Guests have the agony of choice: while skiers enjoy the slopes under the last rays of sun and while it’s also the best time for ski tourers; hikers and bikers cut across the blooming orchards, which transform the Eisacktal/Valle Isarco into a sea of blossoms.
Not only is the air in the mountains the clearest and the views breathtaking but also the landscape is the most colorful during autumn. For the farmers begins the “fifth season of the year”, by the time the leaves of the trees and of the tendrils transform the “Valley of Trails” into a sea of colors. That’s when the ancient tradition, the so called “Törggelen“, takes place and young wine and traditional South Tyrolean dishes are served in the rural parlors. “Törggelen” symbolizes the graciousness of the harvest.
